Why would you not want to reset the iPhone? Your friend should receive the iPhone as if it were brand new, right out-of-the-box, at least from a software perspective.

He should not take the following steps ... you should. Before parting with your iPhone, thoroughly cleanse it software-wise as described here.

What to do before you sell or give away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Then, you can give the iPhone to him and he can proceed as follows:

Thanks for your detailed answer.

I'll explain why I prefer not to reset the iPhone.

I ma not sure which IOS remain on the iPhone, and now it is the latest for iPhone 5. He is unable and does not know how to update his iOS.

So if I know how to erase my e-mail components and hand it to him that he would create his new ID and his email, I do not care about my old software which can serve my friend otherwise he would not download them.

I may be wrong with my assumption about reset the iPhone, and would appreciate few more words about it. And in what situation it create in the iPhone after.

How should he do after receiving the iPhone in order to activate it, which means a link for him.

I can be with him when he would get the iPhone, so I am asking the questions.
