Question: Not able to send message using iMessage on MacBook Pro 10.13.1

User uploaded fileHi,

I have been trying to send messages using iMessage on MacBook Pro with 10.13.1(High Sierra). It was working till I upgraded from 10.12 (Sierra) and my iPhone to iOS 11. All messages are synched instantly but I can't send a message from MacBook.

I tried enabling/re-enabling Two-Factor Authentications.

Factory Resetting iPhone and MacBook Pro

Tried using other Apple ID (Only in Messages App not in iCloud Settings) on my MacBook and it worked.

Tried my Apple ID (Only in Messages App not in iCloud Settings) on other MacBook with 10.13.1 (High Sierra) and I was able to send/receive messages on other MacBook.

It seems that I can't use my MacBook to send messages. This is very frustrating for me as I have to use both iPhone and MacBook.

Please look into this.

Thanks,

Arjav Lad

Hi,

Set the Mac version only use the Apple ID in the Receive At List (it will also remove th Start From drop down)

ON the iPhone set the opposite (iPhone Number only)

Now on the Mac enter the iPhone Number including Country Code in the "to" spot (It will not call up your My Card)

Try Sending the iMessages.

If the iPhone does not gets it then the Mac version is not logged in properly.

Use this Users Tip When the iMessages account will not Login

Tried your suggestion, STILL not working.

I have bought another MacBook Pro, tried my apple id and the same issue again.

I agree with you that this a server side issue, like specific to my apple id as other ids works on both MacBook Pros.

Some you did some of the things in the Users Tip ?

Bit not the phoning of Apple and working up the responders until someone can tell you the Server is blocking you ?
