Why is my apple ID password keep poping up?

Whenever I try update or downloading an app it asks me for my apple ID which I understand. But now that when I type in my apple password in and it when start to download and then pop up again asking for my apple password again. Also my apple ID password is correct as I can sign in on a computer. My Ipod is a 6 btw.
