how can I connect a second monitor to a Mac Mini

How can I connect a second monitor to a MacMini?

I already have a third-party HDMI 1080P monitor connected to the HDMI port on the MacMini.

As I do Video editing on the MacMini, what am I to do to, to get a second third-party HDMI/generic PC monitor connected as a second screen for a duel monitor system?

And which type of monitor should I purchase? HDMI DVI ???
