Tabs disappeared from iPad after iPhone update

After my IPhone updated to iOS 11.1.1 my iPad with iOS 10.3.3 no longer is seeing tabs on my iPhone but my iPhone is seeing tabs from my iPad. How can I get my iPad to be able to see tabs from my iPhone again?

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 10.3.3
