Question:

Question: iPhone webpages not showing on Macbook Pro, but iPhone can see Macbook's...?

Hello there,

I have a 2011 Macbook pro and an iPhone 5s. I can see the webpages open Macbook on my iPhone, but not visa-versa. I used to be able to and I love this feature. I don't recall how long it's been going on, but it's been at least 6-8 months.

(iPhone can see MB webpages. MB can't see iPhone's webpages)

My iPhone is set to sync, I'm not browsing in Private mode. It's just... odd.

Thoughts?

Greetings jacketjane,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you are trying to use Handoff from your iPhone to the MacBook Pro but the Safari pages are not showing up. Since it works in one direction but not the other, it may be a setting that needs to be enabled. I would recommend you read this article and make sure the settings are correct.

  • Each device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
To see the Apple ID used by Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then go to General > Apple ID.
  • Each device has Bluetooth turned on.
  • Each Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch has Wi-Fi turned on.
  • Each device has Handoff turned on:
    • On Mac, choose Apple menu () > System Preferences, then click General. Select “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.”
    • On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > General > Handoff, then turn on Handoff.
    • On Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap General and turn on Enable Handoff.
Apple Watch supports handing off from watch to iPhone only.

Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch

Take care.

Hello!

Thank you for the reply. I checked in the General tab and handoff isn't there for me to check. I searched in help and it stated my device doesn't have this feature, however, it was doing it before and it suddenly disappeared. It also doesn't make sense that I can see it on my phone, still, yeah? That means there is still a connection...
