Audio recording

I use my iphone 6s for audio recording with Rode app and Lavalier mike. It works well. Am looking to upgrade phone, but seemingly the iphone X has no earphone/microphone socket. Seems that audio recording is not possible with this phone. Any advice please from others who record from their phone? Many thanks
