I have started installing OS High Sierra to my MacBook Air but it has stalled 3 quarters the way through.

Is it compatible?

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Hi,

A 5,1 MBA is from Mid 2012 and does fit the requirements for High Sierra: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201475

Note that you also need 14.3GBs of free space for it to install.

If it wasn't compatible, you would not have been able to download it from the app store.
