iPhone 4 and iTunes

I made several voice memories on my iPhone 4. They're too big to be sent by e-mail.
In the past I could transfer them to my MacBook Pro, El Capitan, 10.11.6 by using iTunes.
Now my iPhone 4 is not visible there anymore.
Does somebody know how I can transfer my recordings anyway?

MacBook Pro, iOS 9.3.5, Not sure if it's 9.3.5...

Hello, e. korsten,

It's my understanding that you need to transfer a voice memory from your iPhone 4 to your MacBook Pro. I may be able to help with this and I know how important those memories are to you. Check out this article to help get iTunes working with your iPhone: If iTunes doesn‘t recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

Let us know if this helps.

I'm sorry, but I tried that already, with no result.
I guess iTunes on IOS 11 is not compatible anymore with iPhone 4.
So I would like to know in what other way I can transfer my voice-memo's from my iPhone 4 to my MacBook Pro.

(In meantime I 'resolved' my problem a bit, by playing the memo's and recording them with my iPhone 7 - of course, with quality loss...).
