Question: Is Malwarebytes an identified app developer?

I received the update notice for 3.1.1.505.pkg. My security setting is to only open apps from Apple or identified developers and this app is blocked. I have not seen this from previous updates from Malwarebytes. I recently changed my router. Would that cause this update to be blocked?

If you want to open it just Control-click on it and you should get a dialogue saying it is unidentified etc, but gives you the option to open it, it will only do this once, next time you go to open it it will open in the normal fashion.

The router is probably not responsible for this.

See if Steps #11 & 12 shed light on your issue - High Sierra has a security feature that previous OSes did not
