How do I view my iPhone apps on my Mac
I used to be able to see my iPhone apps when I plugged in the phone and went into iTunes. It does not happen now.

I think that my reply to the original poster (wllambert, more than 1 month ago) was correct.
The new iTunes (currently 12.7.2) is no longer showing apps, nor let you manage their icons when you connect your iPhone to a computer. This hasn't been my choice, it's by design, and you're not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user forum, I'm just a user like yourself.

That said, if you need more info about moving an app from a folder, these are the steps you should follow:
open the folder, press lightly and hold your finger on the apps icon you need to move until it begins to jiggle, then drag that icon out of the folder.

To see your purchased apps, open AppStore, tap on your picture-profile (top right), then tap on "Purchased".

I have exactly the same issue as willambert, and this reply from ProustGiulio is not responsive to the question.
To clarify: I have a lot of apps on my iPhone, some of them have gotten put into folders, I want them out of the folders, and I don't seem to be able to do that. So, I connected my iPhone to my iMac, opened iTunes, and expected to be able to see - on the iMac screen - all the apps on my phone, as they are displayed on the 6 pages of apps and folders on my iPhone screen. Then I expected to be able to move the apps around, as was possible the last time I wanted to clean up my iPhone screens. Now that is not possible. And it should be...
I apologize for the tone of my comment about your reply — I mistakenly thought that you were Apple.
I’ll take your advice and be sure I send my complaint to Apple.
