I want to change my appl ID to a different email address but when I try I get an error message 'too many redirects'. Any suggestions please?

I want to change my Apple ID as I no longer use the email address currently being used. I get directed to the Apple ID page but an error message comes up saying the webpage can't be opened because there were too many redirects. How can I change my ID? Thank you

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test.
