Siri has no sound.

Hi everyone,

Just to preface I have searched for the solution to this problem and nothing seems to work so here I am. When ever I try to use Siri, I get no beep or sound at all. Siri seems to respond and process requests I just can't hear Siri say anything. I've tried to reset all apps, changing the voice feedback and the dictation. I'm kind of at a loss because I just got the 8 Plus after switching from a Galaxy s8 and this is really kind of frustrating.

I am using iOS 11.1.

Hello attractivebread,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that there's no audio when using Siri on your iPhone 8 Plus. You've done a great job trying to get this resolved. I'm happy to help.

If you haven't already, restart your iPhone. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, reinstall iOS with iTunes. This can resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling iOS, iTunes will completely remove your current software and install a fresh version. While iTunes will try to do this without removing data, it's a good idea to make sure you have a recent backup before trying this step.
