Mac is stuck on gray Apple screen. Running high Sierra recent upgrade. What now.

IMac is frozen on gray Apple install screen. Have tried turning off and on by switch. Can’t get to any other controls from screen. Frustrating. Recent install of high Sierra.

iMac, iOS 11.1, Locked up
