i cloud calendars will not load on MAC, getting stuck on message "moving calendars to server account"

My ICloud calendar was not syncing between my iPhone and MAC. I determined it was the MAC that was not sharing data so attempted to reset iCloud on my MAC and also then reset the calendar. Well now the calendar will not load ANY iCloud calendars, all I get is a message that says "moving calendars to server account..." and no calendars load. Has anyone else experienced this problem and how can I ensure my iCloud calendar is on my MAC and syncs to my iPhone.
