If you use find friends does it ask permission?

Curious to know if find friends app requests family members permission on your plan that you're looking for, in case you had a sketchy teen, for example... Pretty sure they'd decline parents request to "find" them or turn off location. But say they had location services on (ie-needed it for an app), could parent use to locate said kid without them knowing? Thanks.

Yes, find friends requires the active and conscious consent of those you request to follow. And they can revoke that permission at any time they wish to. It’s a friendly group tracking tool, not spyware.

Apple would never release such a tool that did not grant those being tracked the right and means to not be tracked if they do not wish to be tracked. That would be a gross violation of their own customer privacy policy. To my knowledge, they have not and would not ever allow any such app in the App Store either and for the same reason.
