MacOS High Sierra & Printing from Preview

Since installing High Sierra, I have noticed that the print engine under Preview has become painfully slow and almost unusable. It seems that when I hit the print command that the print dialogue box takes forever to come up. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?
