What is my administrator name and password? nothing works...

System Preferences -> Users & Groups

The entries with "Admin" under the name is the Admin accounts.


By default this is the first account you created on your Mac when you first set it up. Most people only have a single account and it is the one they use everyday.

If you do not know the password to the account with "Admin" under its name, then the link provided by

User uploaded fileIdrisSeabright

should reset your password.
