installing a 2010 macbook pro sata hd in a 2012 macbook pro

Was thinking about getting a 2012 MacBook Pro. I now have a 2010 MacBook Pro. Is it possible to

just change out the SATA hard drive in the 2010 and put it into the 2012? Also is the ram interchangeable?

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)
