Scale build shrinks before transition

I am creating a Keynote presentation. One of the slides has a trivia question where the 4 answers display on the screen and then the wrong answers leave the screen one by one until only one is left. The correct answer then uses the scale build to get bigger and emphasize it. This is the last thing on the slide's build order. When the slide transition begins, the scaled answer shrinks down to its original size at the very last second and I want it to stay big until the slide disappears. Anyone know how to fix this?

A build will add an object to a slide, or remove an object from a slide.

To perform a scale without adding or removing the object requires an Action. Unfortunately the scale action isn't working in versions 7 just now so you will need a workaround:

fade in a separate text box with a larger text size on top of the existing text, the box requires a background applied to hide the existing text
