Radio app on LTE iOS 4.1

Has anyone been able to receive stations solely on LTE on the Watch 3 with no iPhone nearby? Isn't that the way the Radio app is supposed to work, when out for run, for example?

Hi

Follow the instructions here to use the Radio app:

Radio (Apple Watch Series 3 only)

Note that, in order to listen to stations other than Beats 1, an Apple Music membership is required.

It may also help to check your settings:

  • On iPhone, go to: Settings > Mobile / Cellular Data > turn on Music.
  • On iPhone, go to: Settings > Music > Mobile / Cellular Data > enable Cellular Data and Streaming.

It only took a month of searching to finally get those instructions so thank you!

However, there is an error in the answer; Beats and all music stations seem to require an Apple Music account and the limited News stations don’t.

Also, the signal cuts out numerous times while out running and doesn’t restart unless you push play.
