how long should it take to restore my photos on my new iphone 8?

Yesterday I got the new iPhone 8 Plus and transferred everything with iCloud except my photos didn’t pop up. Under memories it says “scanning” (with a loading bar) and u set photos it says updating. I left it in the charger over night while connected to WiFi and nothing has popped up yet.
