There's a video that shows up on my iPhone 7 Plus when it's connected to iTunes via USB, it's greyed out so I can't delete it and it's not on my phone. How do I delete the video?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.1, null

Hey E_R_B,

I can see from your post that when you connect your iPhone to your computer with iTunes, it shows that there is a video on your device. But you're unable to locate this video on your iPhone to remove or nor are you able to delete it from iTunes. This is fairly odd behavior but I'm sure we can help get to the bottom of this and help you delete this video. If you're having a hard time with managing video content on your iPhone, the link below offers some info on how to do this within iTunes. You'll want to be sure you're using the latest version as well.

Manually manage content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes

If you can't manually add or remove content from your device

Check to make sure that the "Manually manage music and videos" option is turned on:

  1. Connect your device to your computer.
  2. Open iTunes. Make sure that you have the latest version.
  3. Locate and click on your device.
  4. User uploaded file
  5. In the left sidebar, click Summary.
  6. Scroll to the Options section.
  7. Click the box next to "Manually manage music and videos."User uploaded file
  8. Click Apply.

You might see a message that your device is synced with another library. This means that you've used a different computer to sync your device in the past, and iTunes can't sync without first erasing and replacing all iTunes content on your device.

Let me know if this works for you.

Cheers.
