Sharing iMovie with PC
I sent an iMovie to a friend who has a PC and they couldn't open it. They are in the United Kingdom. So I don't know if they couldn't open it because they have a PC or because they are in the U.K.
iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.4)

When you click on the share icon at the top right of your screen in the window that appears there is a next button at the bottom. When you select that it opens a window where you can choose where to save the file. Save it where you want based on how you are transferring it to your friend. The MP4 file with H264 encoder is compatible with most PC players. So it should work ok.

What format was this 'iMovie' in?
I created it in my iMovie app and saved it directly to iMovie library.
Don't know if you got my reply?
Hi Bonniedog,
If you share/export your movie to file and choose nigh quality it will save as an MP4 file with H264 encoder. This should play fine on a PC.
Hmm... When I did that it asked me if I wanted to save it to documents. Is that where I save it to? How will I know if it has the H264 encoder with it and that it is saved as an MP4 file?
Got it figured out. Thanks.
