Why am I seeing "terminal-- -bash --80x24"?

Hi all,

When I open click Terminal app, below window appears but nothing else.

Would anyone please advise me what might be the reason for me seeing that?

I found a solution guys! All good now;

Open

Terminal

, and go to

File (or Shell) -> New Command

. Type in

open -e .profile

(or substitute some other file instead of

.profile

), and hit Run. That should open TextEdit with the file you want to fix; you can remove the offending lines there.

In the Terminal Preferences : Window tab, uncheck everything that is presently checked in the Title section. What you are seeing is the result of Shell command name, and Dimensions both being checked.
