I have data on my iPad and when I upgraded to ios11 the data became unusable. Is there a way to go back to the old iOS to be able to recover the data

Do you have any other iDevices still on iOS 10 or earlier that have the same apps and data on those devices that you maybe able to retrieve this data from those devices.
Also, what apps are you trying to get data from, specifically?
