iPhone won’t ring

I performed the 11.1.1 update on both of my iPhone 6 phones. My phone won’t ring when locked. I don’t know how to uncheck the box under do not disturb that says silent when locked. The volume is up, the side button is on, ive checked every setting but this is where my problem lies.
