iTunes Manuel back up on external hdd matter

I did all kind method relink folder on iTunes backing up on external hdd, but I connect my phone and eternal hdd on my Mac and pushing back up now on iTunes to back up on hdd device, its warning 'no disk free space on this mac'

but I chosed external hdd

why can't backing up on iTunes to external hdd pushing back up now ?

pls help
