How do I restore my macbook air back to a few days ago? Thank you.

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

You should uninstall whatever AV software you have - a lot just create problems on a Mac.

You may also want to download and run a diagnostic utility: run it and copy the entire report here. Etrecheck will give us an idea on what is installed and/or may be causing problems. It does not contain any personal info.

It's me again. I am not that techy. I was receiving many interrupting messages from McAffee the other day saying I had a virus and needed more protection. I figured out how to stop the messages and then asked Google which was the best virus protection program for a Mac since mine is getting older. I paid for and downloaded TotalAV and did a scan. Since then my Mac is acting up and many of the programs I had won't open and have error messages. Like Excel, Word, etc.
