Facetime crashing mid-call (and Spotify issues)

So I just got my first iPhone, which is the iPhone X. I've started FaceTiming my friends and I find for a specific 1-2 people during the call it will just end the call, requiring me to re-call the person. Another issue which I'm not sure if it's related to this FaceTime issue is whilst listening to spotify sometimes the music just pauses, for lack of a better word, magically. I can be on a completely different app, and the music just quickly fades and pauses, as if someone hit the pause button for me. Even while I was writing this it paused multiple times! It's annoying Same with FaceTime, I'll not even be touching my phone and it will just end. I'm unsure if this is specific to the iPhone X or iOS 11 or what. I've tried searching for solutions to my FaceTime problem but none are the same issues i'm experiencing. Anyone with a possible solution or recommendations would be awesome! Thank you!

I see that you're having an issue with FaceTime calls disconnecting and music pausing while listening to Spotify on your new iPhone X. I use FaceTime and listen to music everyday on my iPhone so I can understand your concern, and I'd be happy to help.

Let's start by having you restart the iPhone and test to see if the issue remains:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue still remains, the issue with FaceTime could be your contacts. If it only happens with the same two people, it could be on their end and not yours. However, if it happens with different contacts at different times, you can test to see if the issue remains if you connect to a different network. You can test the same thing for the issue with Spotify. Try connecting to a different network and see if the issue remains. If the issue still remains, let's make sure you're using the latest version (11.1.1) of iOS 11 on your iPhone.
