Question: Can't delete account on just one computer

I recently moved to a new MacBook Pro 15" (2016) running sierra V10.12.6. My Mac Mail (which I migrated from my old computer) has been acting very strange and I have client emails going into junk mail even though I've repeatedly removed them and flagged them as not junk. If I click on Move to Inbox I get an error message saying it can't be done and the email disappears. I have my old computer that has the same mailbox on it and it is running fine so I want to keep it as backup. I just want to delete this internet account and set it up again fresh, but every time I try to delete it, it gives me the choice to either turn it off or delete it from all my computers. I don't want it deleted from all my computers, just this one. Why can't I do this?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2016), macOS Sierra (10.12.6), Mac Mail
