Apple Watch Wifi

I would like to know how to premaritally close the wifi connection on the apple watch? I hate the fact that i have to close the wifi each time i go to a new location! And yes the wifi tries to connect with all kind of wifi's out there still. I've missed many text and phone calls because of that. I have the LTE watch so i don't need wifi connection on my watch. Also i'm on the lates software.

Hi

Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) connects using the most power-efficient available method. This includes connecting to Wi-Fi as a fallback whenever a Bluetooth connection with your iPhone is not available and only connecting to the cellular network if neither a Bluetooth nor a Wi-Fi connection is available:

It is not possible to permanently disable Wi-Fi on Apple Watch. To disconnect from any given network, use the wi-Fi button in Control Centre:

If you would like to submit a feature request to Apple, then you can do so here:

In respect of calls and texts not working as expected when connected to Wi-Fi, the following steps may help:

If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest software versions, starting with your iPhone:

Follow Apple's instructions here, including under the heading "Get help if you can't send or receive messages" and including unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch if necessary:

Keep in mind that the functions that are available on your Apple Watch when it is away from your iPhone depend on various factors including:

Features and requirements that apply under various circumstances are detailed here, including within footnotes #1 and #2 in respect of text messages and calls:

If you still need help, then I suggest that you contact your carrier in the first instance.

If the issue persists, then, depending on your carrier's advice, I suggest that you next contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assistance:
