New 7 plus, tried EarPods and they only play through left speaker.

I just got the 7 plus a couple months ago brand new through my provider. Yesterday I wanted to use the headphones for music, which I hadn’t tried out yet. I took them out of the case and plugged them in, yet they will only play through the left ear. Tried some basic troubleshooting options but not sure what else to do at this point. Also tried using other headphones from older iPhones for example and they play through both speakers.

Get them replaced by making a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store.
