Boot Camp Assistant Startup Disk Space

Hello, my name is Connor and I'm having some trouble with the boot camp assistant application.

When I enter the application and get to the screen with the three check boxes, I get the message "The startup disk does not have enough free space to be partitioned." It says that I need 50 gb of free space. But when I go to "About this Mac" and then "storage," it says I have 182 free gb of space. I did some research online, and lots of people say that there is a specific type of space I need to free up.

I know this isn't a problem with my computer, because I remember previously checking out the boot camp assistant app on this computer and it didn't give me this message.

Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks.

MacBook Air, macOS Sierra (10.12.6), null
