Apple Watch Series 3 - iHeartRadio App

Hello Everyone!!!! I have a question about the Apple Watch Series 3 and the iHeartRadio app. I’ve noticed that you can listen to the iHeartRadio app on the Apple Watch Series 3. Does the Apple Watch Series 3 have to be tethered to my iPhone X for me to listen to the iHeartRadio app or can I listen to the iHeartRadio app on the Apple Watch Series 3 and leave my iPhone X at home?
