Time Machine Not Working Properly?!

Since upgrading to High Sierra I can no longer get Time Machine to do a back-up. Any suggestions but please keep them very simple as I am not tech savvy.

My system is: MacBook Pro (Retina 13 inch, Early 2015)

Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Storage 95.71 GB available

If there is no easy solution to my problem, is there any easy way to uninstall High Sierra and reinstall Sierra?

Try this: Open the TM preferences and click on the button to turn off automatic backups. Then double-click on the TM drive and then open the Backups folder. Inside you should see a file called "in progress" Delete it. Now return to the TM preferences and turn on automatic backups. That usually starts things up again.
