Left shift key connection weak

I have a MacBook Pro 2017 without the touch bar, and the connection of my left shift key is weak/broken.

When I try to capitalize my letters, it becomes capitalized at a 50% rate, meaning the shift button randomly works or doesn't. If I try to type a capital "a," even if I'm pressing the shift key it would only become "A" about half the time. It's not only for capitalization, and this happens for anything that requires the shift key. And it is only the left shift key, as my right one works completely fine.

This is me holding the shift key down and pressing "f" rapidly: ffFFFFFFFFfffFFFFFFFFffFFFfffffffFFFF

This is very annoying.

As you appear to be still under warranty, ideally you should get the machine back to an Apple store for evaluation.

Assuming there has been no spillage of liquid, you could test the situation by re-setting the SMC per the instructions here first, and before going to the store.
