Transferring data between iPhones

Just got an iPhone 6s Plus and I'm trying to transfer data from an iPhone 5 using Quick Start. Both are on iOS 11 and I swapped out the SIM and followed directions. It seemed to be going well, but now I get the message "this computer is already associated with an Apple ID. if you download past purchases with your apple id, you cannot auto-download or download past purchases with a different apple id for 90 days." There is no mention of this in Apple's directions and I don't know if I should cancel or transfer. Any suggestions?

Hey Lance Goddard,

Congrats on your new iPhone 6s Plus! I can see that you're getting an error message that mentions your computer being already associated with an Apple ID. When you try to associate another Apple ID with a device that was already associated, you might see the message you mentioned in your post. The following link explains what this means and can help you address it.

View and remove your associated devices in iTunes

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
