Erasing my data on my old iPhone

I’m trying to erase all content and settings from my old iPhone 6, but the phone says there was an error connecting to the Apple ID server even though I just changed the password, so I’m pretty sure I entered the correct ID and password. What should I do ?

Hello rapi22,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your iPhone. I recommend trying this on a good wireless network, such as at home. If this is where you are experiencing the issue, try turning Wi-Fi off in Settings > Wi-Fi. Be aware, this will use your cellular data, but once you are done verifying the info and/or removing Find My iPhone, you can re-enable Wi-Fi, or you can just restore the device to factory settings. This help article will also tell you how to use iTunes to do this: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
