Shared album display order

When viewing a shared Photo's album in iOS most recent photo's display at bottom (so no scrolling required).

When viewing a shared album in MacOS (High Sierra), oldest photo's display (top) so have to scroll to bottom for most recent. In View-Sort-Keep Sorted By Oldest Date Added, is checked and greyed, Is there anyway to change this to Newest First? (have tried searching posts for an answer but unsuccessful)

You could browse the Activity album instead of viewing the specific album. In the Activity album the most recently shared photos will appear on the top.

Or, to get quickly to the bottom of a shared album click at the bottom of the scroll bar. This will jump to the last photo, if you have set the system Preferences > General so that clicking the scrollbarr will jump to the spot you clicked.
