Not sure what activating a sim has to do with paying off a phone.
What exactly are you attempting to do?
Sims are activated by the carrier that issues them, not the phone they are placed in.
Please explain in as much detail as possible what it is you are attempting to do. What happens when you try, and what error messages if any you are receiving exactly as they appear.
If you are on T-Mobile, they are doing a network upgrade. Even if you pay your bill, it won't take affect until next Saturday. Thats what they told me. You know, 5G things. Its kind of bad that they are doing that, though.
