Lost main iTunes email address

Hi all if anyone can actually help I’ll be forever indebted. Forgot password for primarily iTunes email but problem is this email addy isn’t used or accessed at all now so no emails go there with regards to resetting password. Keep getting messages like we’ll call you in 24 hours from Apple but haven’t so currently can’t use any apps :(. The staff at Apple are good people but no one is solving this.
