How to Display Member Names in Group MMS

i am a member in a group that includes both iPhone and non-iPhone users. When the group was first set up, I read an instruction somewhere on what to text back to the group so that my responses would display my name instead of just my phone number, but I can’t find those instructions again anywhere. Now we have new members in the group that would like to display their names instead of numbers as well. It was something like “name @“ but I can’t seem to figure it out. Can anyone refresh my memory? Thank you!
