Hi to everybody!

Have a small issue lately: when the computer starts, little snitch is asking me if I let an app called "p" to connect to "api.constellation.mac". Never had before this kind of request (appeared after I accidently started an installation of a flash player from an unknown user, but interrupted it before it finished).

I am denying the connection forever but the next time I power up the imac the problem reoccurs.

Searched the files containing 'constellation mac', checked everything with etrecheck, did safe boot, checked disk and permissions, all as usual and - nothing. All appears to be ok, but I am bothered by this strange 'p' app and the request of connection to api.constellation.mac (listed, by the way, in the little snitch rules as 'invalid').

OS: 10.10.6.

Thanks in advance!!!

are you running this?

http://www.stellarium.org/

if so that could be your app trying to sync with a server.

run malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.com)

and post the etrecheck report

your security should not be based on a 3rd party app like little snitch, that program can be evasive and prone to false positives when it's not conflicting with other OS X security protocols.

if you are going to sites that are trying to get you to facilitate phony flash sites avoid those types of sites and the assets they provide. single best defense you can have, otherwise expect more crap on your mac.
