voice mail asking me for box # ?on iphone X - I already changed my password code for voicemail but its not letting me in ??

Contact your carrier to ensure that your account is provisioned for Visual Voicemail. It sounds like you are still in the carrier's standard voicemail system. Voicemail is a carrier function and they will need to correct it.
