Black Screen Repair Question

Hello All!

I have an i-Pad Gen 3 which had gotten left out in the rain one night. I dried it out and it became usable for approximately 1 month at which time I plugged it into my computer & downloaded all my pics.

While plugged in & in i-Tunes I clicked on a link (Don't remember which link it was) & the screen went black. Now when I try to restart it by holding in the power button & the Home button it will flash the Apple logo but it will not come on no matter how long I hold it or let it go.

I've tried all the suggestions on youtube to no avail, does anyone have any suggestions?
