Just bought a Sony X900E TV and wonder if I can screen mirror from my iPhone 7 Plus. I’d like to screen mirror my photos and live video broadcasts from my church.

I have an old Apple TV box (maybe 2nd gen) connected to the tv, but it asks me for a code and I have no idea what that might be. The box went through several updates and apparently the code thing got added during one of those. Anyway, I'm exchanging the Sony tv for a Samsung. Apple TV still needed to airplay?
You need an Apple TV box to be able to screen mirror Apple iDevices to a TV using AirPlay.
