Contacts lost with 10.13.1 update!

I've noticed since my update that all of my contacts are gone! Time Machine backups showed that they disappeared on Nov. 1st when I updated to macOS 10.13.1. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to restore them, though I can see them in Time Machine. When I open contacts, turn on Time Machine and go back to Nov. 1st, I can see my contacts, but nothing happens when I click restore. I'd like some advise.
