If you were to buy it, the best use you would get from the DVD is as a paper weight (or a shiny dangly thing to tease the cat with), I'm afraid. It will not work under Windows.

hangtime is wrong- i just made it work on windows. i lowered the blinds, and plugged in my data projector- garageband is working on MY windows :-P

WITH Windows XP. Not on it. If you have Parrallels, you can run Windoze alongside GB on OSX.
