Searching a little bit on this topic, I found another thread with a solution that seemed to work.

1) Open Terminal

2) Paste the following line into the Terminal window:

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow SHOWOTHERUSERS_MANAGED -bool FALSE

3) Enter your password (nothing will show, just type blindly) and press enter

Here is the thread in question:

Hello Milansson,

It sounds like you need help deleting a user account on your Mac. I don’t blame you for seeking a solution - it’s important to have your device running the way you want. You’re in the right place to find a resolution.

1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu, then click
2. Users & Groups.
3. Click the lock, then enter the admin name and password again.
4. Select the user name from the list of users.
5. Click the Delete User button (which is smartly marked with a minus sign).
6. Click OK to verify and delete the account.

macOS Sierra: Delete a user or group

Let me know if this helps.
Take care.
